Dirham (Silver, 23 mm, 2.63 g, 2 h), a donative issue citing the Abbasid caliph al-Muttaqi and the Ikhshidid ruler Muhammad al-Ikhshid. Without mint name, AH 332 = AD 943/4. In inner field, 'lillah / al-Muttaqi / lillah' ('for God, al-Muttaqi, for God' in Kufic); in outer margin, 'la ilaha illa Allah Muhammad Rasul Allah ('There is no God but God, Muhammad is the Prophet of God' in Kufic). Rev. In inner field, 'billah / al-Ikhshidid / nasir' ('in God / al-Ikhshidid / victory' in Kufic); in outer margin, 'bismallah duriba sanat ithnayn wa thalathin wa thalath mi'a' ('in the name of God was struck in the year two and thirty and three hundred' in Kufic).
